Van Cliburn Piano Competion – A Famed Pianist’s Memory Lives On

Van Cliburn passed away just a few months ago, but the piano competition under his name continues every year. This prestigious competition is held every year that inspires the local community while showing their talent in piano playing in the stage.This competition is considered to be one of the few musical events in the world.

The Cliburn competition is a great way of for the Cliburn Foundation to express their love and devotion to classical music. This is also a way for them to let the memory of Van Cliburn stay in the heart and mind of people. It was Van Cliburn who founded this international piano competition.

The Van Cliburn Foundation has dedicated the 2013 Piano Competition to Mr. Cliburn’s memory. They also expect that the mission continues and help pianists to show what they’ve got and excel more to reach their dreams.
